Although our North American operations began in New York, they quickly moved to the derivatives trading centre of the country – Chicago, Illinois. There, Optiver has established a strong team with nearly limitless potential.

All trades in the US are conducted from Chicago. The US office is a market maker on CBOT, NYSE Arca, CME, ISE, CBOE and BOX and trades on US stock exchanges such as NYSE and NASDAQ.

Today, our North American office employs more than 110 people, but Optiver’s rapid growth promises to nearly double that figure by 2009.

The most recent addition to the Optiver global business, the North American team is progressing well, and will soon join our European and Asia-Pacific operations as leaders in the field. The team also fulfils Optiver’s aim of having a trading office open every hour of every trading day, in every major time zone in the world.
