Senior Financial Controller

What you’ll do

Our Group Finance department is responsible for the monthly financial consolidation of the accounting records of the group entities and the reporting to the global management board and supervisory board. You will be responsible for the global finance tasks like monthly consolidation, financial reporting, global cash and FX management. You will play a key role in global projects and in bringing the department to the next level.

Tasks

As our new Senior Financial Controller you will:

• Perform the monthly financial consolidation of the group entities;
• Draft the monthly management information reports for global management board and supervisory board;
• Draft the annual report of Optiver Holding BV; 
• Manage the planning and control cycle of the group;
• Initiate and coordinate finance projects with local finance staff in the subsidiaries;
• Perform global cash and FX management;
• Develop and implement financial accounting and control guidelines and policies (e.g. IFRS accounting manual);
• Bring the global finance department to the next level;
• Report to the global finance director.

What you’ll need

• HBO+ or Academic degree in Business Economics;
• At least 8 years relevant international working experience; 
• Experience with finance consolidation and reporting applications (Cognos);
• Practical and hands on knowledge of IFRS;
• Experience in the financial services industry would be advantageous; 
• A strong analytical mind; 
• Someone who takes ownership of their work/team;
• Hands-on mentality and eager to explore new possibilities; 
• Excellent communicative and written skills in English and Dutch.
