I joined Optiver only eight months ago as a Secretary to support the Heads of Trading. In this period, I learnt so much and expanded my role so extensively, I was asked to join the Communication Department very recently (2 months ago). In this role, I receive on-the-job training from my manager and my colleague. My biggest challenge so far is to bring this newly gained knowledge into practice.

One of the great things about working here is that Optiver recognizes your efforts right away, and rewards you for them. In my case, my reward was the chance to start a whole new career!

The reason I applied at Optiver is that one of my friends has been working here for ten years. She was always telling me such positive things about Optiver. So when I wanted to switch jobs, the first company that came into my mind was Optiver. And I guess now I am the one telling my friends what a great company I work for!

I had the fantastic experience of switching to the Communication Department, even though I have a Management background. In the future, I would really like to expand my horizons and grow into a senior position. Until I am that experienced, though, I will take some training courses and hopefully take some trips to the other offices and get to know my colleagues overseas. But for the time being, I’ll just enjoy the relaxed atmosphere in which everyone is recognized and appreciated for the value they add!
